Whole-School Evaluation at CCS

From Monday April 3rd to Wednesday April 5th, Carrigaline Community School will welcome Department of Education inspectors Miriam Horgan, Kevin O’Donovan and Lynda O’Toole, who will carry out a Whole-School Evaluation (Management, Leadership & Learning). Miriam and Kevin visited the school on Thursday, March 30th, for a pre-evaluation day, where they surveyed 2nd and 5th Year students and their parents, and also met the senior management team, students and parent representatives.

During their three-day visit next week, they will examine many aspects of our school, including meetings with various co-ordinators and others involved in the running of the school, a tour of the school building and visits to classes to observe teaching and learning at CCS. The Board of Management will also make a presentation.

The Whole-School Evaluation is an opportunity to demonstrate all that is good about our school, and also to identify areas for improvement and continued success. The inspectors’ report will be made available to all stakeholders when complete, and will be posted here on our website.
