Mental Health Awareness Initiative for Parents/Guardians and other adults interested or concerned about young people’s mental health
This presentation is aimed at parents/caregivers of young people in post primary school. If you are a parent/caregiver of young people you are welcome to attend. As a result of this presentation, participants will:
- Gain a better understanding of mental health and the key issues impacting on the mental health of young people
- Learn to promote positive mental health in young people
- Learn to recognise some of the signs that a young person may be struggling with their mental health
- Learn about other resources available to parents/caregivers
The presentation will offer practical tips in how best to support and promote the mental health of all young people and is not targeted at young people with specific mental health issues.
