Carrig’s Got TALENT
On March 14th Carrigaline Community School are hosting a night of entertainment that promises to showcase both spectacular talent and the ‘feel good’ factor.
CCS students will strut their stuff for one night only to both entertain and hopefully win the title of ‘Carrig’s Got TALENT’. The show will take place in the Carrigaline Court Hotel, starting at 7.30 sharp.
‘We are hosting the event in the hotel to add that extra element of glamour to the night,’ said one of the organisers.
Over 50 students took part in the first leg of the auditions which happened weeks ago. Since then the 15 acts that made it through to the ‘live’ show have been going through their paces with teachers and organisers Niamh McCarthy (music) and Ann O Regan (Drama).
‘We are expecting a fun-filled night with plenty of outstanding entertainment,’ said the teachers. ‘The standard is exceptionally high and we have a great variety of acts that should appeal to everyone’.
A panel of three judges made up of teacher, Mr. Declan Ryan, senior student, Ms. Eavan O’Shea and a mystery guest judge will have a difficult job on the night. The audience will also have a say as they will each have one vote to put their favourite act forward.
Tickets at only 10 euro will be available in the school over the coming week. Students will be notified as soon as these ‘hot’ tickets are on sale.
