Visit to CCS of Concentration Camp Survivor
Tomi Reichental, a survivor of Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in Germany visited CCS recently. Tomi addressed a group of senior History students and students from Transition Year. The students asked questions and listened to the harrowing story of Tomi’s life at Bergen-Belsen.
Tomi signed copies of his book ‘I was a Boy in Belsen’ for students and staff and Deputy Principal Mr. Burke presented him with a specially commissioned drawing of the Shandon Bells by 4th Year student Lisa Mellett.
The visit was organised by Ms. O’Doherty.
