First Prize at Scratch Programming National Final 2011

Congratulations to Abdullah Mohammad and Fiachra Hurley, 4th Year, whose game ‘Mem Your Mind’ won first prize at the Scratch Programming National Final in Dublin last Saturday 21st May. Abdullah was also awarded 2nd prize in the Animation section of the competition for his animation ‘Shark and Dog’. Scratch is a programming language that makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art — and share your creations on the web. The final took place at the Institute of Technology, Tallaght where the students had to present their projects to 3 judges. The competition is sponsored by the Irish Computer Society.
