Junior Cert Achievements 2010
A number of Junior Certificate students from CCS received parchments at a ceremony in University College Cork recently to recognise their outstanding results in Business in the 2010 Junior Certificate exam. All students received an A.
They were addressed by the President of the student body and a number of ex-Business students who have been successful business people. They were then presented with their awards and had their pictures taken.
Two students who did their Junior Cert at CCS in 2010, John Keeffe and Eoghan O Leary will be participating in The Irish European Union Science Olympiad(IrEUSO). It is a science competition for students who are sixteen years of age or younger and it is held annually in Dublin City University(DCU) in November. Both students qualified due to their Junior Certificate Examination results and received an A grade in both Mathematics and Science. John and Eoghan will both be taking part in the competition in DCU where they will receive a certificate. If either John or Eoghan score in the top six competition results they will go on and represent Ireland at the European Union Science Olympiad EUSO 2011 in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic.
