CCS Raises Much Needed Funds for Trócaire Effort in Haiti

One day for Haiti was organised by the Student Council at CCS and Mr. McCluskey. During the day, many events were organised including a lunch-time concert by student group “Kennedy and the Communists”, a Cake Sale and a Jelly Bean competition. There were also a number of collection points set up around the school where the school community could make donations.

In total, over €1800 was raised and all proceeds went to Trócaire for Haiti. A guest speaker from Trócaire also addressed a number of classes during the day to explain the aid effort which is ongoing.
